Panchakarma is a powerful detoxification and rejuvenation therapy rooted in Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine. The word Panchakarma means “five actions” or “five treatments,” referring to five cleansing techniques that help eliminate toxins from the body and restore balance to the doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
Induced vomiting to eliminate excess Kapha from the stomach and lungs.
Detoxification through controlled purging to cleanse the liver and intestines (Pitta balance).
Herbal oil or decoction enemas to cleanse and nourish the colon (Vata balance).
Removal of small amounts of blood to purify the bloodstream (used selectively in specific conditions).
Cleansing of the nasal passages using herbal oils or powders, helpful for head, sinus, and respiratory issues.
